NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

HUMBOLDT LOCAL AGENCY FORMATION COMMISSION
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that
the Humboldt Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCo) is holding a public
hearing to consider Sphere of Influence Updates and Municipal Service Reviews at
a public hearing on September 24, 2008 for the following agencies:

 

 

THE BIG LAGOON, BRICELAND, FIELDBROOK, LOLETA, ORLEANS AND
CARLOTTA COMMUNITY SERVICES DISTRICTS, AND GARBERVILLE AND HUMBOLDT NO. 1 FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICTS. 

 

At the hearing, Humboldt
LAFCo will hear and receive any relevant oral and written testimony and
evidence presented or filed, will consider the report of the Executive Officer,
and may accept or amend the Sphere of Influence Updates and Municipal Service
Reviews. 

 

The
Commission will determine whether the Municipal Service Reviews and Spheres are
sufficient.  Staff is recommending that
there is no need to change the above listed Spheres at this time.  Given the recommendation of staff, this is
not a project and is therefore exempt from CEQA. 

 

A
public hearing to consider these items will be held at 9:00 a.m. on September
24, 2008 in the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors Chambers, Humboldt County
Courthouse, 825 Fifth Street, Eureka, California.  Further information regarding these items may
